The Theodore Roosevelt County Park offers you plenty of opportunities to catch different types of saltwater fish species. As a natural resource, the Park offers plenty in terms of shorelines and marshlands. While this place is open to the public there are restrictions with regards to the number of visitors that can be there to preserve the environment.
If you’re eager to get in the water, try the Montauk Marine Basin along West Lake Drive. This spot is frequented by a lot of anglers because there are numerous charter operations here that provide a wide array of fishing expeditions, offshore cruisers and head boats. Before packing your gear, keep in mind that all anglers 16 years and older have to register with the Recreational Marine Fishing Registry (it’s free).
